Following the morning worship service Sunday, December 13, 2015.
There will be a special called business meeting following the worship service on Sunday, December 13, 2015 to consider a motion to accept an offer from Brewer Home Sales, Bossier City to purchase the manufactured home the church voted to sell at the regular business meeting on November 15, 2015. The motion will also empower the trustees to sign all necessary documents to complete the sale of the manufactured home.
Our bylaws normally require a one week notice for all special called business meetings but does have a provision to waive that requirement in certain conditions when decisions need to be made more expiditiously. In order to prevent further deterioration of the facility, we need to complete the sale right away.
The manufactured home was purchased in 2005 and used as the church parsonage until 2009. After then, the building was used as the church ministry center housing our food bank and clothes closet. Due to significant repairs needing to be made, the church voted to sell the building. The food bank and clothes closet activities have been relocated to the two temporary buildings on the west side of the property labeled T-1 and T-2.
